65 Delmar Avenue Framingham, MA 01701 June 18, 2008 Sergeant Kathy Esposito 1 William Welch Way Framingham, MA 01702 Dear Ms. Esposito, Thank you for visiting me while I was being booked at the Framingham police station on June 15, 2007. Can you perhaps tell me why you showed up in the booking area of the police station just as I was being processed? I thought this might be more than coincidental. I have listed the four comments you made to me during the booking procedure. I truly did enjoy the comments you made to me. 1. "You ought to be more respectful of us men and women in blue." 2. "You ought to be ashamed of some of those things you said against us." 3. "I can't believe some of the things you say about us." 4. "You better behave here because you're now in my house." Could you specify what it is I have said about the police officers or the police department that you find repugnant or inappropriate or even incorrect? Could you also tell me why it is you do not believe I have the right to say it publicly? If you feel strongly about this, would you be interested in going public on your comments to me on a local TV show? In essence, will you stand by your comments in a public forum? Or do you wish to remain hidden behind your police badge? Alternatively, we could discuss the issues before the Framingham Board of Selectman. Do you think that your comments were appropriate in the given circumstances? Did you feel truly empowered? Do you consider yourself a "professional officer"? Did you take the SATs in high school? What scores did you get in the math and verbal parts? Sincerely yours, Harold J. Wolfe |
