        Framingham, MA 01702
        Attention: Framingham Police Chief
                   Ken Ferguson

        Dear sir,

I would like to request a copy of all the files on the two devices
confiscated from me when I was arrested

The two devices (Olympus WS-100 pocket recorder and the
Canon Elph520 camera) both have information about my arrest and
the police can download the audio files, pictures and videos for
evidence if they so wish, but I fail to see why the police would
not return the recorder and camera (and SD card) to me

It would take me a mere ten minutes to make a complete copy of the
two devices if I had a computer. It has now been nearly four months.

My last act before being arrested was to start the video camera
(versus taking still images) to record M. Esposito as he arrived
        in his cruiser.

The video camera will have a video of the arrest sequence to
compare against the police report. There is a significant
divergence between M. Esposito's fairy tale and the reality the
camera captured. The cameras was still running in my back pocket
after M. Esposito placed it in my pocket after handcuffing
me. It would still record muffled audio for another 7-8 minutes and
then shut itself off, due to a Canon camera feature or flaw.

The audio files from the recorder will show that the recorder was on
for about 30 minutes before my arrest as a result of me failing to
turn off recording from my last message recorded. This will show the
lack of intent to secretly record the police.

As for the Olympus WS-100 pocket recorder is a USB mass storage device
with a 64 MB capacity and can record up to 27 hours of
*.WMA (Windows Media Audio) audio. It's files can easily be edited
and modified by such programs like Audacity.

If I cannot get back the actual devices, I would like to request my
audio/video/image files in the following format:

        1. The camera

           a. A complete disk image (byte for byte copy) of the camera's
              32 GB SD card.

I would need to know what software was used to make such a disk
image in order to examine it.

           b. A copy of the all the individual pictures and video files
              found on it.

        2. The pocket recorder is a USB mass storage device, just like the
           camera's SD card.

           a. A complete disk image (byte for byte copy) of the 64 MB
              storage card on it.

I would need to know what software was used to make such a disk
image in order to examine it.

           b. The separate and individual *.WMA audio files
              (Windows Media Audio)

Failure to provide me with this request brings into question the
integrity of the Framingham police department and suggests that
the information on these devices may have been modified.

It is all to easy to modify the contents of audio/video files with
Audacity (audio editor) and OpenShot (video editor), not to mention
deleting files or scrubbing them (deleting contents of a file).

I can provide you with a 64 GB USB thumb drive to copy this
        information to.

Any technical questions you may have can be resolved by calling me
        at 508-561-8452 (C) or by email: hjwolfe@gmail.com

                                               Sincerely yours,

                                               Harold J. Wolfe
